Thursday on The Robert Scott Bell Show 3-5PM EDT: Did you know that new guidelines may put 13 million more Americans on statin drugs to artificially lower their cholesterol levels? If adopted, The American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology could be responsible for millions more Americans aging prematurely and developing Alzheimer’s! Can you reverse autism by eliminating all MSG from the diet? A biochemist/parent is claiming just that! Could it really be so simple or does this lend even more credence to the danger of all excitotoxins? RSB talks with Thalia Michelle about Mothers Advocating Medical Marijuana for Autism (MAMMA). Are you a parent of children with Autism who is interested in legally pursuing medicinal cannabis as a therapeutic treatment option for your children? Did you hear that Rand Paul got numerous standing ovations at a lecture he gave yesterday at U.C. Berkeley? What is going on with liberal college students? Has Sen. Paul found a way to cross the political divide on the issue of 4th Amendment violations by the Federal government? Are you prepared for spring colds in your children? We’ll reveal a new warning about certain medications that carry a great risk of high blood pressure, dizziness and tremors! It is bad enough that the FDA bullies your children, but what about playground bullies? Are you ready to discuss parenting techniques? Do you believe that spanking your children is a legitimate way to discipline them? Can it cause obesity? And finally, never joke about this part of your anatomy exploding as you go through a TSA checkpoint unless you want a thorough cleansing! We’ll explain on the air! Call with your questions at 1-866-939-2355. Listen in at

From Thalia Michelle (also of the Thinking Moms Revolution): We are parents of children with Autism who are interested in legally pursuing medicinal cannabis as a therapeutic treatment option for our children. We (MAMMAS) are parents of children with Autism who are interested in legally pursuing medicinal cannabis as a safe, effective and therapeutic treatment option for our chronically ill children. To that end, we are here to advocate for the legalization of therapeutic cannabis, to educate politicians and the electorate about its many benefits, and to give help and hope to Texans interested its medicinal application. We believe in our right to legally access therapeutic, whole plant, cannabis in all its various forms. Our number one goal, when therapeutic cannabis is legal in Texas, is that the qualifying conditions include a diagnosis of autism and co-morbid conditions. Our mission/goal is to rally mothers to reach out to the conservative Christians in Texas.   Moms bring their stories to pastors and ask pastors to contact legislators on their behalf.   Moms also sit down with legislators and share.   I voted in the Republican primary and plan to attend the Republican state convention.    We are working with RAMP (Republicans Against Marijuana Prohibition), Texas NORML, and other pro-marijuana groups in Texas.   We are not affiliated with any one political party and we endorse Kinky Friedman in the run off for Ag. Commissioner of Texas.  He’s a democrat.    As individuals, several of us are working with RAMP. MAMMAS is raising money for Horse Boy Foundation – Rupert Isaacson – The Horse Boy documentary that went to Sundance and was on PBS in 2009.  Remember him? The Foundation provides free equestrian horse therapy for kids with Autism in the state of Texas.

Question/Comments of the Day: Hi Robert, I have posted a few messages on your site and you have always responded and helped me. I thank you very much for that.

I am a regular listener from the UK and follow your advice as much as possible (including the selenium, chromium & silica supplements that you recommend as well as about 2 servings of One World Whey daily). I exercise 6 times a week (and have done so for years), I eat organic food whenever possible and consider myself a healthy eater. I do not eat dairy (apart from a small amount of raw milk). I am 45 years old and not overweight.

I have just received my cholesterol results and was surprised to learn that my LDL is high. I list the readings below as I know that LDL alone does not give the full picture:

Triglycerides (blood spot): 67 mg/dL. (Recd range: <150 mg/dL)
Cholesterol (blood spot): 333 mg/dL. (Recd range: <200 mg/dL). HIGH.
HDL 95 mg/dL. (Recd range: 40 or higher)
LDL 225 mg/dL. (Recd range: <130, <100 optimal). HIGH
VLDL 13 mg/dL. (Recd range: <30 mg/dL)

As Sondra has pointed out in her recent message to you, the aim is to get as many people as possible on statins and my doctor will probably recommend this based on my results. There is no way I would ever take them so I would like your opinion on my results and any suggestions to improve them naturally.

Thank you again for everything you do. ~ Lisa

  • Spanking Kids

Violence teaches that violence is a way to address situations and solve problems. I do not believe in spanking or hitting kids, because that is teaching them violent behavior.

It’s much better to talk with them about the situation, ask for their input, and make them clean up the mess they made, make them work off (through household chores) offences, and demonstrate that there is a constructive way to solve problems and deal with negative issues.

Kids learn through behavior. Why teach them that spanking, or beating them is a way to solve a behavior issue? Why not teach them a positive way?
